Incidents
In the fire investigation field, there are four generally accepted causes for fire. They include:
- Incendiary – Deliberately or intentionally set fires (arson),
- Accidental – Not deliberately set,
- Natural – Caused by lightening or other natural phenomena,
- Undetermined – Unable to establish a probable cause due to the severity of fire or missing indicators.
