Freddie the Fire Truck
 The most visible and certainly the busiest
member of the Joliet Fire Department is
Freddie the Fire Truck.
Purchased in 1997 this small robotic vehicle has entertained thousands of small children each year.
Freddie is the ideal symbol of our department to bring fire education to children at an early age,
at their eye level, in a non-threatening way.
