Rescue Committee -
Captain Tom Douglas |
The Joliet Fire Department Rescue Committee was established to bring together members of the Department to focus on the spiritual well-being of everyone. The Committee works to maintain a positive outlook by providing each Joliet Fire Department member with updated news on the “Rescue” bulletin board at all the station houses.
The Committee is responsible for the announcements of new births and unfortunately the passing of Department member’s loved ones. As the year progressed, Committee members were involved in “Luncheon with the Chaplin”, which allowed every station to schedule our Department’s Chaplains Father Chris Groh and Pastor Joel Labertew for a lunch visit with the on duty crews.
Membership within the Committee has remained constant throughout the past ten years. In 2008, the Rescue Committee will continue to provide the members with the service that they have come to rely on from the Rescue Committee. Our belief in God, and in his wisdom and direction, will always be the primary reasons why the Rescue Committee will serve the Joliet Fire Department with honor and respect.
God Bless,
Members of RESCUE
